Week 17th - 23rd November
17th – 23rd November 2019
SPECIAL COLLECTION IN AID OF CHURCH SCHOOLS
1. This is the twentieth anniversary of the establishment of our parish by the then Archbishop, H.E. Mons Guzeppi Mercieca. It is therefore fitting that, during the week when our parish celebrates its feast, the Immaculate Conception, we should also commemorate this event. Throughout the week, the parish church will be graced by the devotional painting of Our Lady of Pinu, which has been lent to us by the Rector of the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary, Gozo.
Monday, 2nd December: Celebration for children and young people attending catechism and parents.
5.15pm: All are invited to gather on the church parvis for prayer
5.30pm: Procession with the Ta’ Pinu painting around the church (exit to parvis, to Triq Pianta, Triq il-Kwarta and back to the church). All are invited.
5.45pm: Mass, to which children, young people and their parents are especially invited.
There will not be mass at 6.30pm that day.
After Mass, activities for children are being organised by our parish’s ZAK groups.
Tuesday, 3rd December: morning: presentation of babies, held by the Mother & Baby Club.
Wednesday, 4th December: after 6.30pm Mass, a short celebration of the history of the Ta’ Pinu painting.
Thursday, 5th December: after 6.30pm Mass, Adoration and Vespers
Friday, 6th December: after 6.30pm Mass, a short celebration with prayers for healing.
Saturday, 7th December, 10 am (there will be no Mass at 9am): Mass for the elderly, followed by refreshments in the parish hall.
*Throughout the weekend, the mass readings will be those of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.*
Sunday, 8th December:
6.30pm: Solemn Mass presided by H.E. the Archbishop, together with the Parish Priests, vice-parish priests, rectors and priests who have served in the parish during the past years.
Special guests are all the helpers who work in the parish.
After Mass, a reception will be held in the parish hall.
