Week 22nd – 29th September 2024
1. Last weekend’s collection for the Holy Land amounted to €2,650. Next weekend’s special collection is for Parish expenses. Thank you all for your generosity.
2. Catechism sessions start on Monday 30th September and Tuesday 1st September, from 5-6 pm.
3. The Mothers’ Prayer Group also starts on Monday 30th September and Tuesday 1st September, during the Catechism sessions.
4. The October prayer meeting on the Word of God will be held on Friday 4th October in the Parish hall, from 7.00-7.45 pm. We encourage you to attend.
5. This weekend, a book sale is being held in the Parish garage, in Triq il-Kwarta.
6. The Senior Citizens group will be starting their meetings on Friday 4th October, from 9am-12.00 noon.
7. The Swieqi Local Council informs the public (particularly those aged 60+) that applications for the Active Ageing sessions will close on 25th September (sessions on Pilates, Line Dancing, Musical Theatre, Dance Fitness). Sessions start on 2nd October. Applications can be sent by email swieqi.lc@gov.mt, or by phoning 21373939.
8. To mark the 25th anniversary of our Parish, a calendar will be distributed to all the households of this locality. We are seeking sponsors who would like to place advertisements in the calendar; they may contact the parish priest.
9. Let us pray for Lesley Corney, Saviour Portelli, Anne Dimech, Josephine Xerri and Onesimo Mallia, who have passed to eternal life.
